Toples Tropis - Dangdut singer Ayu Ting Ting, along with her father, Abdul Rozak, celebrated the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia by touring their village and singing the song "Hari Merdeka" (Independence Day).
Ayu and her father, Ayah Ojak, began their journey from their residence in Depok, West Java, on Thursday (August 17, 2023). They then walked through the village streets and sang the song "Hari Merdeka" with the residents they encountered.
The residents appeared delighted with Ayu and Ayah Ojak's visit. They waved their hands and joined in singing together. Ayu and Ayah Ojak seemed happy to celebrate Independence Day with the community.
Ayu expressed that she wanted to celebrate Independence Day in a different way. She wished to directly experience the joy and spirit of the heroes who fought for Indonesia's independence.
"Today, I want to celebrate Independence Day in a different way. I want to directly experience the joy and spirit of the heroes who fought for Indonesia's independence," said Ayu.
Ayah Ojak also stated that he wanted to instill a sense of patriotism in Ayu and his children. He wanted them to always remember that Indonesia is a free country and should be protected together.

Ayu and Ayah Ojak toured the village for about an hour. They sang the song "Hari Merdeka" three times. The residents were very enthusiastic and joined in singing along.
Ayu and Ayah Ojak concluded their journey at a field in the village. They then sang the national anthem "Indonesia Raya" with the residents.
Ayu and Ayah Ojak hoped that their Independence Day celebration would inspire the residents to continue advancing Indonesia.
